CARE

Campus, Advocacy, Resources, and Education (CARE) is UC Santa Barbara’s confidential advocacy and education office for interpersonal violence (sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking). We offer free and confidential services for students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members, and friends/loved ones impacted interpersonal and gender-based violence and we provide violence prevention education for the entire UCSB campus.

California Alliance for Hispanic-serving Social Science Advancement

The California Alliance for Hispanic-serving Social Science Advancement (CAHSSA) is a collaboration among the campuses of the California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC). CAHSSA works to align social science research initiatives with the Hispanic-serving mission of the majority of institutions of higher education in California.

A personalized experience that provides the resources you use most often, the app works on your phone, tablet and desktop.

Beyond Academia

Beyond Academia at UC Santa Barbara is a career exploration organization for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars of all disciplines. Inspired by UC Berkeley's Beyond Academia, our annual conference was established in 2015 and strives to educate about career options alongside and outside academia. Our goal is to help attendees develop an action plan that will help prepare them for the career of their choice.

Area Global Initiative

The Area Global Initiative brings together distinguished faculty and scholars with area studies and global expertise to enrich UCSB's intellectual environment. Within AGI, area studies and thematic academic units such as the Africa Initiative; Center for the Global Study of Race, Inequality and Justice; East Asia Center; Latin America and Iberian Studies Program; and Center for Middle East Studies interface with the Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies.
